PARISOTTO, Lorenzo Leo – In loving memory of Lorenzo Leo Parisotto, age 79 years, who passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Sudbury Regional Hospital – Laurentian Site on Saturday, September 26th, 2009. Beloved husband of more than 52 years to Zita (Tonello) Parisotto of Sudbury. Loving father of Luciano (wife Louise) of Port Elgin, Luisa (husband Joe Ranger) of Sudbury, and Sara of Toronto. Cherished Nonno of Brian Parisotto of Waterloo, Laura Parisotto of Vancouver, B.C., Robert and David Ranger of Sudbury. Dear son of Biondo and Genoveffa (Conte) Parisotto both predeceased. Dear brother of Danilo (wife Elide) of Coniston, Danila Dovigi – predeceased (husband Angelo) of Sault Ste. Marie, Maria Stocco (husband Luigi) of Toronto, Ilario (wife Teresina), Mario (wife Cecilia), Liliana (husband Luigi Troietto), Lucia (husband Giuglio Cavallin), Marcello (wife Rita) all of Italy, and predeceased by an infant brother Pietro. Dear son-in-law of Tranquillo and Teresa Tonello both predeceased. Dear brother-in-law of Ada Martinello (husband Marcello – predeceased), Ancilla Guidolin (husband Bruno – predeceased), Elisa Priore (husband Pietro), Maria Bacegga (husband Bruno), Luigina Rizardi – predeceased (husband Francesco) all of Italy and Luigi Tonello – predeceased. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Castello Di Godego, Treviso, Italy, on February 25th, 1930, Lorenzo came to Canada in March 1957. He retired as a machinist with NORONT Steel Ltd. in 1994 after a 38 year career. Lorenzo was a curious and mechanically inclined person who liked to tinker around with engines. He enjoyed doing many activities such as sausage & wine making and spending time in his garden. Lorenzo will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father and nonno whose greatest joys came from witnessing the many accomplishments of his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1250 Barry Downe Road, Sudbury, Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to the 4th Floor Laurentian Hospital Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged. Prayers 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. (Friends may call from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday).
