JACKLIN, Laura Ann - In loving memory of Laura Jacklin who passed away Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 at the Memorial Hospital, Sudbury. Beloved wife of the late Blake Jacklin and daughter of the late Charles and Mary Shamess. Loving mother of Peter Jacklin of Espanola. Dear sister of Fred, George, Freda, Abraham, Nell, Bill, Albert, Esther & Dorothy Shamess. Survived by numerous nieces & nephews. Laura owned and operated Goodman's Motel/J & E restaurant with her husband Blake for almost 40 years. She loved cooking, collecting both recipes & cookbooks and was an avid sports fan. Laura will always be remembered for her warm smile, generosity & kindness to family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Friends may call at the BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME, Espanola on Saturday, September 26th from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Paul Walmsley officiating. Interment in the Espanola Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
