PERRY, Lloyd William - It is with sadness that the family of Lloyd William Perry announce his passing at St. Joseph's Complex Care Centre, Sudbury, Ontario on August 12, 2009. Lloyd was born in Mountain Shoots, Ontario, the seventh of eight children to David and Marion (Jacob) Perry. Losing his father early in life, Lloyd finished school in Haileybury, Ontario before moving to Peterborough to work. In the early 1950's, Lloyd moved to Sudbury and began a long career with INCO in roles including Miner, Mine Rescue, Maintenance Operations and retired as a Mill Wright in 1991. He was a member of the Chelmsford community. Lloyd was a member of several bowling teams and pool leagues in the area and enjoyed a good game of cards. He was an avid outdoorsman and was never more at home than when he was in the bush hunting and fishing with his son and nephews. Most of all Lloyd will be remembered for his strong sense of family. We will be forever thankful for the time he took to photograph and video tape our family's life. Lloyd is survived by his son, Patrick Perry, daughter-in-law Nancy Madill- Perry and grandson Ryan Perry of Fall River, Nova Scotia. He also leaves behind special nephews David (Jackie) McCauley, Garson, and Don (Joan) Walker, Sudbury. He is survived by sisters Dorothy Finnerty, Abbotsford, BC and Ethyl Liscum, Oshawa, ON as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Lloyd was pre- deceased by his cherished granddaughter, Raena June Perry, brothers Clifford and Leonard Perry and sisters Irene Walker, Jeanette Bird and Virginia McCauley. The family would like to give special thanks to the nursing and support staff at St. Joseph's for their special care and appreciation of Lloyd's sense of humour. A Celebration of Lloyd's life will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 from 5pm to 9pm at the home of David and Jackie McCauley, 23 Mary Street, Garson, Ontario. 902-440- 4200. As per Lloyd's wishes no formal funeral service will be held.
