POXLEITNER, Joseph Bruno - In loving memory of Joseph Bruno Poxleitner, who passed away on Friday, August 7th, 2009, 81 years of age, after a lengthy illness at Extendicare Falconbridge, Sudbury. He was born in Inzersdorf, Austria and came to Canada in 1951. He worked in construction and was employed since 1962 by Falconbridge Nickel Mine until he suffered a stroke in 1984. He was a maintenance supervisor and a volunteer fireman. He enjoyed woodworking and cabinet making. Joseph was a hard worker and was always willing to help other's and was a good provider. Despite his stroke he traveled with his wife to various places, and he kept himself busy with painting and other hobbies. Beloved husband of Gabriele Poxleitner of Sudbury. Loving father of Ralph (wife Nicole) of Lively, Tony (wife Marie) of Port Elgin, Eric (wife Virginia) of Langley, B.C., and Gary (wife Vanessa) of Azilda. Dear grandfather of eight grandchildren. Dear son of Johann and Theresa Poxleitner predeceased. Loving brother of Johann, Franz and Maria Poxleitner all predeceased. The family would like to thank the staff of Falconbridge Extendicare for the good care Joseph received. Donations to the Residence Council at Extendicare Falconbridge or New Sudbury Pentecostal Church Building Fund would be appreciated. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury. Funeral Service in New Sudbury Pentecostal Church, 264 Levesque Street, Sudbury, Tuesday, August 11th 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Civic Cemetery.
