WHISSELL, Jacqueline (née Lemieux) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the age of 76 years. Daughter of the late Ephrem and of the late Rosalia (née Beauparlant) Lemieux. Beloved wife of Déa Whissell of Coniston. Loving mother of Liliane Fantin (Joseph) and Jeannine McDonald (Bruce) both of Coniston, Paul Whissell (Lizette) of Sudbury and Pierre Whissell (Diane) of Val Caron. Predeceased by her son Jacques. Dear sister of Hélène Dignard (late Armand) of Sturgeon Falls, Yvette Plante (Walter) of Sudbury, Fernande Groulx of Ottawa and Monique Dennie (Raymond) of Shreveport Louisianna, USA. Predeceased by her sister Alma Whissell (late Gérald) and her brother Maurice Lemieux (late Noëlla). Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Natalie (Todd Patterson), Stacey (Cory Gould), Mathieu (Mijanou Gaboury), Melina, Nicholas and her great- granddaughter Reese Patterson. Lovingly remembered by many relatives and friends. The focus of Jacqueline's life was her loving family with whom she enjoyed spending time. The family extends its heartfelt appreciation to all family and friends for the support received. Special thanks to hospital doctors and staff for their kind and compassionate care. Also thank you to Mervena “Bonnie” De Grechie for her special attention to Jacqueline. The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday, August 8, 2009 after 10:00 a.m. in Notre- Dame-de-la-Merci Church, Coniston. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Donations (by cheque only) to the Lung Association or the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
