BEAUDOIN, Julien “Bud” - April 20, 1937-July 30, 2009 It is with deep sorrow that the family announces his passing, on Thursday, July 30th, at his residence, in North Bay. He was 72. He is lovingly remembered by his four children, Marquise Jolicoeur, Joffre “Jeff” (Louise Sévigny), Janique (Marc Perrin) as well as Julie (Andy Gagné); his grandchildren, Brianne (Bradley Twigg), Shane, Chanèle, Nicholas, Mia and Natasha; and his first great-granddaughter, Baby Rowyn. He will be sadly missed by his friend and life partner Yolande “Yollie” Bedard and his extended family, Diane, Colette, Claude and Gilles. Originally from Sudbury, Bud was the eldest son of Julien and Béatrice (Trottier) Beaudoin, both predeceased. He is survived by his brothers, Rudy (Faith) and Léo (Linda), as well as his sisters, Carmen (Normand Vallée) and Jeanne (Gilles Fournier). Bud was a businessman at heart. Beginning his career as an insurance adjuster, he established numerous alliances that propelled his professional and political endeavours in Sudbury. In later years, he relocated to the North Bay area and successfully pursued various business ventures. Indeed, he was driven in business and that surely stemmed from his great love of life and of people. His charismatic charm drew many to his side and whether he was traveling in the Caribbean, greeting patrons at the Fraser Tavern or simply walking the streets of home, he loved to engage others, share stories and always, a few good laughs. His passion for life remained strong as ever, despite the health challenges of recent years. Though he was somewhat limited, he insisted that life was still good. Certainly, he derived much joy from his animal friends, Queenie, his faithful canine companion and her feline sidekick, Sinbad. His greatest joy however, was in the gatherings with his children and grandkids, where he would sit and listen to our tales of life lived passionately. “Boy oh Boy!” At Bud's request, there will be no visitation. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of “Bud“ to the Covanent House will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
