LANDRIE, Sylvia “Sivie“ (nee Laprairie) - Of Fort Erie, Ontario - formerly of Sudbury, Ontario - Died peacefully at home with her family by her side on July 27th, 2009 at the age of 62 after a short battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband Lawrence Landrie (2008). She leaves behind her cherished daughter Cindy and husband Tommy Szaro of New Jersey. Loving Nana of her precious grandchildren Amanda and Cassie. Special caring sister of Denise LaPrairie and Julie Jariett (Husband Kim). Sylvia will be lovingly remembered by her wonderful brothers and sisters in law and also by many nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Marcel and Amanda Laprairie. Her unconditional love and laughter will never be forgotten. She enjoyed walking, biking and bocce. After her retirement from the Royal Bank of Canada in 1998, she thoroughly enjoyed wintering at her home away from home in Fort Myers, Florida. A special thanks and expression of gratitude to Dr. Scher and her nurse Elizabeth from Paramed for the sincere and excellent care provided. BENNER FUNERAL SERVICES 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 pm until 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday morning at 10 am. Cremation will follow. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
