MOORE, Verena Jean - In loving memory of Verena Jean Moore (nee Hamp), 68 years, who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, Friday, July 17th, 2009 at the SRH - Laurentian Site with her loving family at her side. Verena was born August 31, 1940 in Neepewa, Manitoba, daughter of Ernest Charles Hamp, predeceased and Elsa Hamp of Kenora, Ontario. Beloved wife of John James (Jack) Moore. Dear mother of Glen Moore (Viviane), Megan Cartman (friend Gilles Roy). Special Nana of Melissa Moore (Angel “Chico“ Martinez), Ashley Moore (Terry Lalonde), Aaron Cartman and his father Jeff Cartman, all of Sudbury. Great grandmother of Theista, Dylaina, Angeline, Winter, Zoraida and Colt. Dear sister of Teresa Canfield (Charlie) and Ernie Hamp (Jocelyn). Sadly missed by aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Daughter in law of Percy and Grace Moore (predeceased). Sister in law of Harold Moore (predeceased), Laura Drew (Ed predeceased); Norval Moore (predeceased), Earl Moore (Eileen), both predeceased, Marion Moore (Bill Steads predeceased), Florence Moore (predeceased), Leonard Moore, predeceased (Lorraine), Bill Moore (Judy), Wilfred Moore (Roma). Dearest friend of Diane Milliard and Lorna Matthews. Sadly missed by the Cartman family. Verena loved to garden, shop and scrapbook. The focus of her scrapbooks were her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. Verena spent close to 15 years employed by Sudbury Hydro. Thank you to the nurses on the 4th floor, Laurentian Hospital, Dr. Knight, Dr. Slanui, Dr. Cano and Nurse Gabby. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, Ontario. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation with entombment in the Civic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday).
