ARMSTRONG, Robert Gordon “Bob“ - Suddenly, yet peacefully in hospital at Ottawa with his family at his side on Sunday, July 5, 2009. Bob Armstrong of Pakenham, age 75 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Barbara MacLeod. Cherished father of Alan (Michelle Courchesne) of Gatineau, Ian (Silvia Arno- Armstrong) of Thunder Bay, Alison Doherty (Tim) of London and Peter of Ottawa. Dear brother of Carolyn Walton (Ross) and Mary Adele Fraser (Ian). Special Grandpa to grandchildren; Isabelle & Jérémy Armstrong, Emily & Hannah Armstrong, Erin & Calum Doherty. Dedicated Employee (General Manager-Woodlands, retired 1995) of E. B. Eddy/Eddy Forest Products Ltd. (Hull, QC & Espanola, Ont.). Devoted and active member of the congregation & choir at Bells Corners United Church, (Nepean), St. Andrews United Church, (Sudbury) and St. Andrews United Church, (Pakenham). Enthusiastic member of the Capital City Chorus, Aged in Harmony, Arnprior Community Choir and the Valley Men Chorus. Avid supporter of Barb in many years of Clan MacLeod activities. Enjoyed many outdoor activities during his life. Friends may call at the C.R. GAMBLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 127 Church St., Almonte for visiting on Friday (July 10) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Thence to rest in St. Andrews United Church, Pakenham from 10 AM Saturday until the Celebration of Bob's Life at 11 AM. Rev. Debbie Roi, officiating. Interment Union Cemetery, Pakenham.
