PATTERSON, Clair Eugene - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clair Eugene Patterson in North Bay on Monday, June 29th, 2009 in his 86th year. Loving husband of the late Edna May Patterson (nee Maue 1996). Loving father of Ken (wife Elizabeth), Keith (wife Rebecca), and Cathy (husband Rob McCutcheon) all of Espanola and Ron (wife Laurel) of Calgary, Alberta. Wonderful grandfather to Aaron (Catherine), Shayne (Tina), Blair (Sherry), Jessie (Michael), Striker (Krystaal) and Emily. Special great- grandfather to Connor, Christian, Mattea, Clara, Tomas, Lochlan, Kreia and Amelia. Loving brother of Mabel (husband Jim Owens), and Wally (wife Sandra). Predeceased by brothers Harvey, Herbert, Russell, Chester, Gerald and sister Marie. Also special brother-in-law to Howard Maue, Hilda Patterson, Beryl Patterson, and Agnes Patterson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Clair was stationed overseas during WW2. He drove tank in Belgium, Italy and Holland. In 1947, Clair married Edna, his loving wife of 49 years. They were always extremely proud of all of their children. Family get togethers were very important and a source of great joy for them both. Clair and Edna also enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and playing cards with their friends on a Saturday night. Clair worked at K.V.P. and E. B. Eddy for many years. He worked in the Lime Kiln and then in Security until his retirement. Clair loved the outdoors. He was very much involved in both the Game and Fish Club and Ducks Unlimited. Clair was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother and friend. He was earl loved and will be sadly missed by all. Clair will be resting at the BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME, Espanola on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 3rd, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. from the United Church of Espanola with the Reverend Cory Vermeer- Cuthbert officiating. Interment in the Espanola Cemetery
