In Loving Memory of Juliette (née Laferriere) Niemelainen 80 years Peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Wednesday June 20th, 2018 at her residence with her loving family at her side. Beloved wife of 50 years of Erkki Niemelainen (predeceased 2012). Loving mother of Raymond (wife Donna) and Richard (wife Lucie). Cherished Grandmčre of Erik, Claire, Zachary and Gideon. Dear daughter of Leo and Béatrice (Bissonette) Laferriere predeceased. Dear sister of Gilberte, Irčne (predeceased), Aline, Rollande, Albina, Anita (predeceased), Claudette, Frances, Robert, Claude and Gérard. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A long time Sudbury resident and Ester Road resident, she married Erkki in 1956 in Chapleau. She was an accomplished knitter and crocheter whose creations are treasured by family and friends. She made beautiful rugs on her loom. Juliette will be remembered as a very inspiring person who was never judgemental and always quick to help others. Whether walking for a good cause or being an attentive listener her light brought support, encouragement and friendship to others. A devout catholic she faithfully attended St. Patrick’s Church. The focus of her life was her loving family. She was happiest in their company taking pride and interest in their activities and accomplishments. The family expresses their appreciation for the shared care team from the Hospice especially Dr. Walton and the Bayshore Nursing Team for their care and compassion. Resting at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home 233, Larch St., Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5, 7-9 pm Monday with parish prayers at 7:30pm) Funeral Mass In St. Patrick’s Church 39 Walford Rd., Sudbury Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 at 10am Cremation with interment in the family plot at Civic Memorial Cemetery, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice.
