In loving memory of Paulette Chenier who passed away at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the age of 66 years. Beloved mother of André Errett (wife Aleksandra) of Chelsea P.Q. and Daniel Errett (wife Paméla) of Gatineau P.Q. Cherished grandmother of Izabela, Adam and Jacek “Jack”. Also survived by her sisters Lorraine Groulx (Aime) of Hanmer, Patsy Leblanc (Raymond) of Hanmer, Rose-Marie Labrash (Raymond) of Gravenhurst, Noella Chenier (Julien) of Chapleau, Cecile Chenier of Welland, Lina Chartrand (Gerry) of Brownsburg-Chatam P.Q. and Lorraine Dupuis (Pierre Roberge) of Lachine P.Q. and by her brothers Roger (Rita) of Timmins, Edmond (Marrilyn) of Gogama and Lionel (Laurette) of Sudbury. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Lionel and Marie-Ange Chenier, her brothers Rejean, Maurice and Richard and by her sister Rejeanne Mathieu. Paulette was born in Gogama on February 6, 1951. She relocated to Toronto for work and then Ottawa to be closer to her two sons, their spouses, her grandchildren, special friends and Zora. Spending time with her family brought great joy to her life. During her spare time, she enjoyed long walks and keeping fit. One of her favourite pastimes was completing jigsaw puzzles. She will be remembered as a very independent, positive and strong willed individual who was a ray of sunshine in many people’s lives. She battled Scleroderma for 5 years. She embodied a very positive and upbeat perspective. Paulette was an active member of the Scleroderma Support Group in the Ottawa area, a cause that was very dear to her heart. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will take place at 107 Deerwood Dr. in Kinburn, Ontario (Ottawa area) on May 13th, 2017 from 1:30 to 4:00 PM. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 27th, 2017 at Notre-Dame du Rosaire Church in Gogama. Interment at the Gogama Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Gogama Community Centre. Donations to the Scleroderma Society of Canada, in Paulette’s memory, would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff in the ICU at Health Sciences North for taking such good care of Paulette. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simple Wishes of the North.
