DUFFY, Gale

October 22, 2012 70

DUFFY, Gale Margaret (nee Regan) - April 8, 1942 - October 15, 2012. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Gale on October 15 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, at the age of 70 years. Daughter of Melvina Regan (nee Perrier) and the late Thomas Regan, loving wife and constant companion of Daniel James (Jim), devoted mother of Michael (wife Annick) of Newmarket and Deborah (husband John) of Aylmer, Que. And doting grandmother to Ryan and Rachel Duffy and Finlay and Sean Coyle. Lovingly remembered by sisters Yvonne Lloyd and Susan Mick (Vern); brothers Charles (Gail), Ken (Monica) and Dale and predeceased by brother Maurice. She will not be forgotten by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Retiring from Bell Canada after 27 years, Gale enjoyed many days between home and Lake Penage, spending hours at her looms making beautiful keepsakes for family and friends, fishing and enjoying the view she loved so dearly. She will be missed by the neighbours on Lake Penage, the weavers at the Sudbury Guild and of course, her loving, long-time minor hockey family. Gale will be remembered for her amazing spirit, easy-going attitude, boundless good humour and most of all her loving nature. She met every challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow and in her final days brought comfort to all around her. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the health care team of doctors, nurses and PSWs, especially to Dr. Cano, Dr. Knight, Dr. Snider and Dr. Maki for their compassionate and loving care. Family and friends will gather at JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 223 Larch St. on Sun., Oct. 21 from 2-5 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. The funeral mass will be held on Mon., Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle at 1250 Barrydowne Road.
